In these images of my grandmother, I placed sitting beside past relatives. My Mom Mom always says she is the last of the matricarchs. Her cousins are far away, her parents have been gone for a long time, and her youth is fading. In her house, she sits alone, looking back on the days she shared with the people she loves. She holds pride in her family, even though it has been long since they passed. My Mom Mom makes our family feel larger because she carries the love of so many souls within her. In this photo, I give my Mom Mom her mother back to return a piece of the love she has always given me.
